UnityPoint Health® – Grinnell Regional Medical Center (GRMC) and Public Health are pleased to partner with the Healthiest State Initiative’s Annual Walk on October 2. The Annual Walk serves as the kick-off to Healthiest State Month, where Iowans are encouraged throughout the month of October that healthy choices count.

The walk is open to the public and GRMC employees alike. It will begin at noon on Wednesday, October 2, in the Healing Garden on the medical center campus at 210 Fourth Ave., Grinnell. Water and fruit will be provided.

“We are excited to partner in the work being led by the Healthiest State Initiative and host an Annual Walk site,” says Shauna Callaway, RN, BSN, director of public health. “Our mission at GRMC, to improve the health of the people and communities we serve, aligns perfectly with the Healthiest State Initiative. We encourage our team members to participate in the walk and invite everyone to join us.”
