Shults & Co. Return With Brand New Musical Revue

Shults & Co. singers and band will be returning to the bright lights and glamour of the entertainment mecca of the world, Las Vegas, on February 20, 21 and 22 at 7:30 pm in the Hotel Grinnell Auditorium.  The musical revue, “Return to Vegas/The Headliners” is the thirteenth show for Shults & Co. and a major fundraiser for their partner, the  Grinnell Rotary Club.  

Together, Shults & Co., under the direction of Frank and Sherry Shults, and the Grinnell Rotary Club have raised over $100,000 for area organizations and projects.  All proceeds from this production will be donated to Grinnell’s important first responders, the Grinnell Police Department and the Grinnell Fire Department.

Audiences will hear the songs of legendary Vegas headliners: Ray Charles (“What’d I Say”), Dinah Shore (“Blues in the Night”), Ben E. King (“Stand By Me”), Elvis Presley (“Jailhouse Rock”)  and the three talented and infamous  headliners who ruled Vegas in the 50s and 60s, the Rat Pack,  Frank Sinatra (“That’s Life”), Dean Martin (“Sway”) and Sammy Davis Jr. (“Birth of the Blues”).

Songs from Las Vegas headliners still performing today include: Billy Joel (“It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me”), James Taylor (“Fire and Rain”), Celine Dion (“My Heart Will Go   On”), Garth Brooks (“Friends in Low Places”), Bette Midler (“The Glory of Love”) and Chicago (“You’re the Inspiration”).

Shults & Co. singers are: Frank and Sherry Shults, Tim and Gailanne Dill, Debby Pohlson, George Drake, Austin Jones, Bill Hammen, Jerry Lane and Dodi Reilly.

Band members are: John Landkamer, piano; Kathy Vanderploeg, piano; Lowell Vanderploeg, percussion; Kent Kastendick, keyboard and saxophone;  Gary Larsson, bass guitar and Christian Williams, guitars.
