Bucket Courses The first class will be a 1-session course titled “Tip of the Iceberg: The Conductor’s Invisible Craft”, on Wednesday January 8th at 10 am and will be taught by Eric McIntyre, Grinnell College Professor of Music. Kesho Scott, Grinnell College Professor of Sociology, will lead a 3-session course called “The Black Holocaust: Castles or Dungeons?” on January 15, 22 and 29. In 2020, you can register for Bucket Courses by the month for $15 payable at the first class. Please plan to arrive by 9:30 am. There will be 1-session, 2-session, 3-session and 4-session classes this semester. If there is room in a class, you can attend for $5 per class. Financial assistance is available if cost is an issue, please check the box on the registration form to attend without cost. Please sign up in advance with the registration form. Bookin’ It @the Drake Check out a copy of The Library Book by Susan Orlean and come along to our small group discussion. You will not only learn about the Los Angeles Public Library fire of 1986, but you will also learn some amazing things about libraries AND make new friends at the same time on Thursday January 9th from 7 to 8 pm. The group meets on the 2nd Thursday every other month in the Story Room. After School @DCLDiscover, Connect and Learn with STEAM activities on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5 pm. There will be a station with Legos and two other stations with items to explore. Gifted a new device?
