Seeland Park Announces Its Fall Tour of Homes – Sunday, October 12


(Grinnell, IA – September 29, 2014)    Seeland Park, a Continuing Care Retirement Community situated on a 31-acre campus on the east side of Grinnell, announces its Fall Tour of Homes on Sunday, October 12, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.  Seeland Park now has lots available on Maple Street for anyone interested in building their perfect retirement home!  The new building development will include approximately 13 single family homes and/or large duplexes with 2-car garages and spacious yards (with the option of a basement and/or third garage).  


Those who attend the Tour of Homes will see a variety of floor plans and unit sizes, including a single family home, five large duplexes, two small duplexes, and an apartment.  Six Seeland Park residents will open their homes for tours, including:  Marie Andrews at 2002 4th Avenue; Jolene Jones at 834 Aspen Drive; Carol Jordan at 2106 4th Avenue; Eleanor Osland at 2104 4th Avenue; Virgil and Clara Scott at 823 Maple Street; and June Watkins at 836 Maple Street.  In addition, three residences currently listed for sale will be open for tour.  Visitors are invited to stop by the Social Center located on the northwest side of St. Francis Manor to see additional 3-dimensional floor plans and enjoy refreshments.  For more information on available homes or Seeland Park, please visit our website at  


Seeland Park is an active 55+ campus offering choice, convenience and community.  Each home is on ground level and has handicap accessible doorways.  The monthly fee covers all maintenance and upkeep, as well as transportation to in-town appointments.  Seeland Park residents enjoy socializing with others during a variety of events and activities including fitness classes, dinners, cards and games in our Social Center and Hawn Center.  Outdoor amenities include lighted walking paths, garden plots and a bocce ball court.
