tigerCitizens Group Canvassed Community for Upcoming School Bond Issue

On Sunday, March 22nd the Citizens Building Schools for a Better Future Committee organized one of two community canvass days.  The goal of the canvass was to educate Grinnell voters about the vote on April 7th,  make them aware of the early voting date of Friday, March 27th (11am-5pm at Drake Library) and to help them obtain absentee ballots.  The committee had over 30 volunteers to canvass the town and were able to talk to hundreds of community members about the bond vote.  “The day was a tremendous success!  We are able to talk to community members about the vote and help them obtain absentee ballots.”  said co-chair Sarah Smith.  “ It was a great opportunity to help people understand the facts and allow for a one-to-one conversation about the issues.”
