Two stray CATS located in quarter round siding of local home created high drama the afternoon of November 10th. The Grinnell Fire Department responded to the emergency call after several distressed young cats were heard for nearly 24 hours. It was a sleepless night for several neighbors trying to locate the felines to no avail. They were difficult to find as they had entered an unknown location in the quarter round siding of the home at 4th and Summer street and climbed to the top. As it turned out one had been trapped after the GFD had arrived. The mother retreated to the north early on. After some hour plus the remaining baby was rescued as shown in pictures below. Both cats could be adopted by visiting Dr. Hauser at the Northside Vet Clinic before November 15.
