2014 Grinnell Lions Ag Appreciation Day Held September 11

 

Featured below are picture highlights of the Grinnell Lions Club 2014 Ag Appreciation Day held annual in the memory of Jim Urfer, longtime Grinnell Implement Case I-H dealer. Darcy Swick, 2nd Vice President of the Grinnell Lions was the master of ceremonies along with keynote speaker and fellow Lion Mike Pearson, host of Market to Market on IPTV and local Grinnell cattle raiser.

The Jim Urfer Spirit of Farming Award was  received received by the fourth generation Louden family or rural Grinnell for their long standing dedication to the farming community.

Over 50 tractors participated in the tractor parade through downtown Grinnell. The most unusual entry was the team of 1963 1420 Allis-Chalmers tractors by Leland Fynaardt of Sully.
